Dermal fillers have a limited lifespan. However, there are now studies showing filler lasts significantly longer than we previously thought. Depending on product choice and placement, you can expect your filler to last a minimum of 6 months to several years. In my experience, you will always have more volume than you had before!

PDO Threads
PDO threads are fine threads made of polydioxanone suture material. The threads are placed just beneath the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve dullness, skin laxity, fine lines, and wrinkles!
They can be used almost anywhere on the face and neck and are fantastic for rejuvenating and tightening the skin. Results are noticeable after 8-12 weeks and last 12-24 months depending on the area treated and number of threads used.
What to expect
Prior to your procedure, we apply numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure your procedure is as comfortable as possible. Post procedure you should expect some redness (as seen in the before and after image), and some bruising. You may ice the treatment area and apply hirudoid cream to reduce bruising and swelling. We also recommend eating soft foods as you may feel a bit stiff and tender for the first 48 hours.
Before & After information
We used dermal filler to smooth the jawline, and PDO threads to tighten the skin laxity in this patient's jowl/marionette area. Results are seen immediately and will continue to improve over the following 8-12 weeks as the threads dissolve. Redness is seen in the after image as the photo was taken immediately post treatment.
